i am a man from pittsburgh i go to indiana university of pennsylvania and i am a freshman. my major is computer science. i have lived in pittsburgh all of my life and so has my family. i have one brother, greg, who studies at penn state university. he is a senior there. iwhen i applied to college i was accepted to iup and penn state. i chose to go to iup over penn state because i think it fit me for who i am better. i liked the small campus and classes because i feel you get to know the students and teachers better than having an full auditorium class that has over one hundred students. iup also had my major of computer science and specifically, information assurance, in which iup is licensed by the homeland security department currently. i was thinking about parents weekend when my parents came up to visit me. i had visited them back home in pittsburgh the weekend before that which was the first time i went back home.
my favorite piece of writting was my sense of smell essay. i had written a self narrative essay before that and wanted to try to just write a story. for this essay we had to find a picture and write about it. so it took me a long time but i found a good picture of something i thought i could write a lot about. i looked at the picture and just asked questions about it then developed a storyline and began writting. i felt like a real author writing a novel. which is weird because i always hated reading novels in high school and here i am wrting one.
vision
i love to taste good food like pizza, hot sandwiches, or pasta. i hate to taste cinnomin gum and and really overwhelming sharp taste.
my sense of smell makes me different from other people because it is not as strong. often i will be walking with someone else down a street and they say they notice that somehting smells mad where ever we are and i will not even notice anything until he/she says anything.
to me being touched is many different things. it could be a greeting like a handshake. it could be intimate like holding hands.
i hear a truck outside, i bet other people just wrote this too. i hear a lot of clicking and typing. during this exercise the typing sound is almost constant.
my strongest sense is taste. i think this is because some times i am a picky eater and only like things that taste good
in this class i am supprised how i broke from the high school five paragraph writting and book report writting bull shit and learned how to write more personal and indepth. i am also supprised that i have a blog that i write on. being a computer science major i have seen and read many blogs but never had my own. and now i do.
my five senses make me different from other people around me because everyones senses are different. we sense different things, just how when marlen asks us questions about what we sense all of the responses can be different.
